Going Deep for God

We visited St. Lawrence and Fr. Thuc this past weekend. I took away two things from his homily.

1. Jesus told Peter to fish in the DEEP waters. Why? What could that mean for us? I think it means to get out of our comfort zone to get closer to Jesus. Where is that for me? Not sure.

2. Jesus called on the ordinary fishermen to do His work. Fr. Thuc said it is okay to be ordinary. Hmmm. I asked Eden if she was ordinary when he finished but she didn't answer.

SF Fun

We went to SF for Steve's birthday. After a short trip at MOMA, we visited Yerba Buena Gardens and had a great food court dinner at Westfield with our friends Chris and Elizabeth. No pictures of the birthday boy since he was behind the lens the whole time....

 

  

  

Our New House

We've been here for a few weeks and it is starting to feel like a home finally.

Wine Review

Steve and I haven't been too happy with our wine selections lately so we are starting a new list.
I chose the Fat Cat pinot noir. It was $9.99 at Whole Foods. We usually choose cabernets or merlots but since we are in the "new" program is why I chose the pinot noir.
I could tell right off by pouring it, a much lighter color. The taste was very light too. Now I know what they mean by full-bodied because this was the opposite.
Do not pair this wine with beef, which unfortunately we did. It does not go with a Mortons Tri-Tip. It would be great for a summer bbq.

Binky, Thumb or.....

Much to her sister's dismay, Anna doesn't care too much for the binky....

So, Anna has moved on to her thumb......

 

But sometimes, even her thumb can't satisfy........

I'm really bumming out about what is happening with Conan and NBC. He gives us quality laughs more often than we are able to actually watch him but I hope he will still continue to make us laugh.

Wicked and the Cotton Bowl

Steve and I saw "Wicked" last night in San Francisco. We loved it!

My dad made a bet for me on the Cotton Bowl last month when he visited Las Vegas. So I joked it was my Christmas Bonus. The Rebels came through for me and looks like I'll get a nice Bonus this year.
